The ceiling was decorated in an unbelievable manner suitable for a cathedral.
The bed was as hard as concrete. The bathroom was so tiny it was virtually unusable, significantly detracting from the experience. Breakfast was meager and did not meet expectations, leaving us dissatisfied.

Favourable location in a good area really close to market and restaurant quite besides and a city centre and the stops. A decent size and airy room, fairly clean bathroom.

Our hotel was in a perfect location in Palermo center. Found a place called Da Bacco, set minute walk from the property, ate there a few times. The staff were absolutely courteous, and the room was nicely furnished with nice shower, a balcony. The breakfast was excellent and had plenty of meals...

Who knew? Not me!
This charming gem surprised me with its really good staff and quaint atmosphere. The retro interior took me back in time, while the helpful receptionists was nice. I also loved the constant WiFi in a quieter room across the hall. Breakfast was pleasant, although it could use more variety.

Extremely helpful, friendly staff; central to town but in a quieter street and overlooking a green piazza on one side; original decorative cornices and elegant marble floors; peaceful atmosphere.
Grubby stair-carpet leading up from reception to first floor; a strange heavy musty smell coming from bathroom - possibly a cleaning product? -cleared from bedroom by leaving windows open and shutters closed.

An english television station would be helpful. Lift is small - take the stairs if you can.
